Bespoke laser cut Christmas Decor for award winning Sussex pub

The Hanging Lantern Company and The Highlands Inn have joined forces this year to create a spectacular Christmas display at the Sussex pub. The Highlands Inn wanted to ‘go all out’ with their Christmas decorations and enlisted the design services of The Hanging Lantern team to create a truly unique and eye catching display.

The Highlands recently celebrated their first birthday and decided that this Christmas they wanted to go bigger and better. Previously the pub was decorated with The Hanging Lantern Company’s bespoke laser cut snowflake bunting. This year Matt, the owner of the pub, wanted more decorations from The Hanging Lantern Company’s Christmas range to create a really cosy Christmas feel over the busy festive period. 

He met with Katie, the Laser Studio Manager at The Hanging Lantern Company, to discuss how best to dress the bars and restaurant to give the festive wow factor to the customers. Katie took samples of the company’s laser Christmas pieces with a mix of the luxury Stardream papers the company use for the products to inspire Matt’s imagination. She measured up the main areas and suggested the best ways to transform the entire pub with intricate trees, giant star lanterns and delicate snowflakes. 

Matt decided on a red and grey colour scheme with a few touches of shimmering silver, to give a bit of festive sparkle, to compliment the Highlands cosy country feel. Amongst the bespoke designs, Katie also dotted in some of our standard Christmas items to add a consistency with the style which hopefully the customers would recognise from The Hanging Lantern Company’s website. Snowflakes can be spotted hanging in the windows from the road side and snowy themed bunting also lines the restaurant beams. Katie designed 3 bespoke feature pieces including a one meter high Christmas tree lantern, which can be seen in the restaurant, along with giant 1 meter stars hung in the main bar area.
