Dorte contacted our wedding lantern team via our LiveChat facility to plan the quantity of hanging lanterns she would need in her marquee for her August wedding.

The marquee measured 9 metres by 9 metres for 40 seated guests, and using our English Country Garden Inspirations Dorte decided she’d like her coloured paper lanterns clustered loosely down the central ridge to give a focal point.

She chose a combination of soft pastel tones with a few jewel toned lanterns to add some sparkle. Warm white Buttonlites were placed in 3 of each of the pastel lanterns as 4 large chandeliers hung down the length of the marquee providing illumination for throughout the night.

Dorte’s tech savvy new husband, Ulrik, hung three medium cream paper lanterns in the middle of their dance floor with some Phillips Hue Bulbs placed inside – using the ‘Hue Disco’ app he matched the colour spectrum with their other lanterns and let the rhythm and beat of the music change the colour of the neutral lanterns creating the perfect atmosphere to dance the night away.
