Blue Paper Lanterns on Festoon Lights

Alastair Currie Events dressed a traditional marquee in Somerset with blue wedding lanterns and bespoke, personalised bunting for the happy couple.

A tall white traditional tent is an event companies dream…..it’s a blank canvas with plenty of height so the team can be truly creative when it comes to decoration. Due to the height in the centre of the marquee you need to be generous with the sizes of lanterns used so Alice and her team selected a mixture of our extra large 30” lanterns and 18” paper lanterns in baby blue, turquoise and royal blue plus a handful of soft 16” lace wedding lanterns to add a softer, more feminine touch to complement the bridal gown. 

All of our lanterns have a C – shaped hook at the top of the frame for an easy installation simply hooking them directly onto the festoon lights as seen in this image. Leaving one or two bulbs bare between each lantern will help to give a sparkly glow throughout the evening creating a warmer atmosphere.

The event team wanted to add a more personal touch to the decoration for their client so our laser studio personalised our paper bunting, in colours to match, with the couples married name and wedding date so that they had a keepsake to treasure forever.
