Complementary coloured paper lanterns warm up a white wedding marquee

Mother of the Bride, Julia, contacted us seeking help and advice for her daughter’s wedding - she wanted to create a subtle effect with the lanterns in the 21 x 9m marquee. Bride, Alice, clustered all of her paper hanging lanterns in the middle of her white lined marquee as she also had a display of handmade origami cranes hanging at one end. It was vital that the coloured lantern complemented the cranes as much as possible as it was these two items that were providing the colour to the day.

To recreate this look simply suspend the coloured paper lanterns using our crocodile clips and use a mix of sizes including 8”, 12”, 14” and 18” diameters. Use a bolder colour, in the smallest size, to act as a ‘highlight’ to achieve this gorgeous look. Julie and Alice selected peach, ivory, robin egg and sage paper lanterns.
