Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust Lantern Walk

For the first time ever Acorns is holding a Lantern Walk this coming Saturday (12th October 2013) to celebrate 25 years of the charity and raise much needed funds for the charity.

“Acorns Children’s Hospice is a charity providing care and support to life limited or life threatened children and their families across the heart of England.”

The spectacular Lantern Walk covers two routes along the picturesque lake at Walsall Arboretum – a longer 12km route and a wheelchair and buggy friendly shorter route of 5km. All participants will be carrying one of our bespoke handmade orange battery lanterns to illuminate their route as night falls. Both routes will come together at the end to celebrate with live music and a laser light show. Our paper lanterns will continue to glow throughout the whole event and many of them will be decorated by the children and adults carrying them so each and every paper battery lantern is sure to be unique and pretty!

Acorns wants as many supporters as possible to join them on their Lantern Walk and everyone who registers gets an orange lantern that comes ready to carry, registration is only £5 so follow this link if you are in the area and support this great charity: http://www.acorns.org.uk/lantern-walk

The Lantern Walk is set to be a truly memorable occasion and we wish Acorns the best of success with their fund raising at this important event. We’re looking forward to hearing all about the walk and also seeing pictures of all of the decorated paper lanterns!
