Pastel & Shimmering Gold Paper Lanterns

“I loved the pastel paper lantern colour palette however I wanted to put a new twist on it that no one would expect! I took a chance and added in some metallic gold lanterns to spice it up and prayed that it looked good….. the effect turned out much better than I imagined! I think it is safe to say that it’s different!”

Catherine married her fiancé Rob in a country garden marquee in the beautiful harbour town of Rye, East Sussex. After searching through our hanging lantern inspiration gallery the couple were instantly drawn to the  range of pastel hanging lanterns and very quickly decided upon pale pink, baby blue and robin egg paper lanterns to create the base of their look.

However, they still wanted to add something else, that little extra touch that no one else had done before. They decided to dot in a handful of metallic gold lanterns for a dazzling effect! Sugary sweet with a twist of Gatsby. 

A total of 80 lanterns, split over 3 sizes, were used to create this canopy of colour and installed simply by clipping each one directly to the lining of the marquee.
